A favorite EANES ISD fund raising event is coming up this Memorial Day. The 7th Annual EEF 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament will be held Monday, May 30 at the Hill Country Middle School Gymnasium.
The event raises funds for EANES ISD teachers and is open to both EANES students and adults. Boys and girls in 2nd through 12th grades can participate in the tournament. While everyone will register individually, all must be part of a team, with a maximum of 6 players per team. Girls and boys will play in separate divisions but there will be no parent coaches – the teams will be coached by the kids. Students can register for the tournament here. The Eanes Education Foundation (EEF) seeks financial support from the community and corporate donors to provide and sustain educational excellence within Eanes ISD. According to the EEF website, the majority of the foundation’s grant funds teacher and staff positions each year. Donations have funded over 230 teacher positions since 2004, including 32 positions that are currently funded by EEF on Eanes ISD campuses this year.
